Photos from day one on our whirlwind tour of Florida and it was mostly about food. We made a detour off Route 95 to try out Wilber's Barbecue in Goldsboro (we found it in our Road Food book). Dee-licious and oh-so authentic with plenty of locals and a no-nonsense old-school waitress who signed our book.
When we got to Savannah, we headed straight for Uncle Bubba's Oyster House, a restaurant by Paula Deen and her husband Bobby. Not bad, though we didn't see Paula anywhere. Maybe it's better that way...
Hopefully, more tomorrow from Gainesville. We're hoping to hit a Sonic while we're down here.
